Why do tools in the client zone never work for me and always bring up an error message whenever I try to use them?

Hey Peter

I assume you're talking about the line functions in ClientZone, like Fix My Line or Tweak My Line. Some of these features are temporarily unavailble due to system upgrades made by Telkom. They have upgraded their internal software systems and hardware to use a dynamic sync profile management tool, which automatically sets your line sync to the best possible rate. The intention is that the system will maange DSL profile for best performance and you should not really need these tools, however in practice it's still in the early stages. We should have the functionality again shortly.

Do also bear in mind that if you submit the Port Reset function from the DSL line you are resetting, this will often cause the connection to drop and you will get an error. We generally recommend that you use these features from an alternate line or via a Mobile Data connection.
