Does the courier verify addresses while a device is on backorder?

Hi, I ordered a fixed wireless package on 12 Jan 2018, I received a notification that the router is on backorder. On the 17th, the courier company verified my address and said I can expect my package in 5-7 working days. On my client zone, the device is still on backorder, who do I believe? I don't want to get excited just to find out, I need to wait another week or two (above the expected waiting time).
