How long before a backlogged order will come in

I was emailed stating "Our upstream provider is unfortunately experiencing a temporary stock shortage of the Huawei B315 LTE Router. We will notify you as soon as stock has been allocated for your order and your Fixed Wireless parcel is en route."
How long can i be expected to wait and if this duration is too long can i cancel the order? due to it not being in the stated amount of days. The reason for my purchasing of this package is because of the "quick" process.

Apologies for the delay in receiving your delivery.

This is the mail that went out to clients who were affected:-

"Unfortunately, our supplier has run out of Huawei routers and there is no stock available countrywide. Our suppliers expect to begin new deliveries in 2 to 3 weeks. Please note that you will only start paying us for connectivity upon successful delivery of your router. You can track your order via Client Zone. Our sincere apologies for this delay. Afrihost"
