Setting up emails on Mac mail.

I want to set up my mails on my mac permanently. I don't want to have to call Afrihost again and again requesting for a mac specialist to help set up my mails. This time i want to do it once and for all.

Please find below graphical steps to configure emails in Mac Mail.

  1. Open Mail.
  2. Enter your email account information.

    Click the Continue button when you're ready.

    • Full Name: Your name as you would like it to appear.
    • Email Address: Your full email address.
    • Password: The password you assigned to the email address.
  3. Mail will attempt to contact the mail server. The default search uses "autodiscover.example.com" -- unless you have this subdomain already created and an SSL Certificate installed, this will fail. Click the Connect button to complete a manual set up.

  4. In the next screen, enter your information.:

    Click the Continue button when you're ready.

    • Account Type: From the menu, we recommend IMAP.
    • Description: Enter a short description.
    • Incoming Mail Server: mail.domain.tld or SMTP provided by ISP.
    • User Name: Your full email address.
    • Password: The password you assigned to the email address.
  5. Next, we'll configure the Outgoing Mail Server.

    Be sure to check the box for "Use Authentication."

    Click the Continue button when you're ready.

    • Description: Enter a short description.
    • Outgoing Mail Server: mail.domain.tld or SMTP provided by ISP.
    • Password: The password you assigned to the email address.
  6. You will now have an Account Summary.

    Click the Create button when you're ready.

  7. That's it! You just configured your (mt) email address on Apple Mail. You are now brought to your inbox.
