client has a registered domain and wants to use Afrihost services. He wants the simplest and more effective way to do so. does he tranfer his domain to afrihost, will that have any implications on his usage. i.e break in service. or does he chose the manage service. please advise which one will be cost effective, and will not be time consuming

It's usually cost effective to have one service provider manage all your related services. If your domain with current ISP is registered usign the EPP system and you've notified currect ISP of the move, the domain transfer would be instant if the domain registrant accepts the transfer. There would be a break in service if you transfer the domain because of DNS propagation which usually takes about 24 hours depending on the network you're on. You would need to create a backup of your current services (Website, Emails, DNS Zone File...) then create/order the service from Afrihost's clientzone. Open a support ticket and have an Afrihost consultant assist you with restoring the backup on your new account. After this, your services should be restored if there was service disruption or downtime.
