Kindly note that setting up an extendant network for your home would need you to call in a Network Engineer/Administrator to set it up for you. This is not a service that we support. However, you can use the below information to set up your enxteders depending on the types of modem/router you have.

How to setup a Range Extender to your WiFi Network?

There are more than one ways to setup the On Networks WiFi Range Extender. The simplest way is by WPS button:

Note: This method is applicable if both your wireless router and wireless device (i.e. laptop, desktop, smart phone, tablet etc.) has either a physical or software WPS button. Please refer to your wireless router and wireless device's product documentation.

  •     Plug the On Networks WiFi Range Extender into a power outlet and wait until the STATUS LED is green.
  •     Press the WPS button on the extender.
  •     Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your wireless router and wait for both devices to establish a connection. If the LINK RATE LED lights up green, it means that the extender has established a good connected to your router. However, if it lights up red, it means that the extender has established a poor connected to your router and you may want to consider moving it closer. After your wireless router and range extender has established a connection, next is connecting your wireless devices to the extender.
  •     Press the WPS button of your wireless device.
  •     Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button of the range extender and wait for both devices to establish a connection. The PC-to-Extender LED should be lit and your device should be able to go online.

Another way to setup the On Networks WiFi Range Extender is by web browser method:

Note:
- This method is applicable if either your wireless router or wireless device (i.e. laptop, desktop, smart phone, tablet etc.) does not have/support WPS.
- Your wireless device must have a functional browser to use this method.
- The default wireless network name of the range extender is "On_Networks_EXT" and has no password.

  1.     On your computer or wireless device, open the software or app that you use to manage your WiFi connections.
  2.     Find and join the On_Networks_EXT WiFi network.
  3.     Open a web browser on that same computer or wireless device and the extender's EZ setup guide should automatically come up. If incase it did not, simply type "www.mywifiext.com" in the address/URL bar of your browser.
  4.     Select your preferred language and click the "Continue" button.
  5.     Select the network that you want to extend and click the "Continue" button.
  6.     If the network that you have selected is password protected, type in the appropriate password for that network.
  7.     Configure the extender network.
  8.         Name the extender network.
  9.         You have the option to use the same security mode and password of the network that you have extended. Otherwise, select your preferred security mode and password.
  10.         Click the "Continue" button once done.
  11.     Leave the EZ setup guide open. And once again, open again the software or app that you use to manage your WiFi connections.
  12.     Find the new name that you gave your extender network and connect to it using the password that you have assigned.
  13.     Once connected, get back to the EZ setup guide and put a check mark on the option "My wireless devices are connected to the Extender network" and click the "Continue" button.
  14.     You will be prompted to bookmark/save/add the Range Extender's Administration page to your favorites which you can use in the future if in case you want to make some changes in its settings.
