Domain pointing to my Afrihost Cloud Server

+1 vote
Hi there, I've registered a .co.za and a .com domain with domains.co.za. I already have an existing Cloud Hosted server with Afrihost, and I'd like to point those domains to the Cloud Server, how would I go about doing that?

Alongside that (sorry if this is a dumb question), if I were to type in www.mydomain.co.za, and it pointed to myserver.dedicated.co.za (or whatever the server's IP is), would the user see www.mydomain.co.za or myserver.dedicated.co.za once the page loads from the server?

Good day,

Pointing a domain can easily be done in the Afrihost Client Zone

1. Login to your client zone (https://clientzone.afrihost.com)
2. Select Hosting
3. On the right hand side, select the domain you want to point
4. Select the Hosting Settings
5. Select “DNS Editor”
6. Here you will need to edit your DNS record and enter the IP address of where you want to point the domain to.

The user will see www.mydomain.co.za when the pages loads and not myserver.dedicated.co.za
