You would need to cancel with Telkom and migrate over to Afrihost. You will need to check with Telkom what their cancellation policy is to avoid any fees.
To successfully migrate your fibre connection over to Afrihost, Please follow these steps :
You will need to notify/ cancel with your current ISP.
Your current ISP and all other ISP's require a 30 day notice period. You may be charged a migration/ transfer fee if applicable.
- Step 2:
Once you have been released by your ISP, you will then be instructed by your ISP how to proceed with the migration to Afrihost once you have signed up.
- Step 3:
You will need to provide your UID Number (if relevant) which can be updated on Client Zone directly.
Or you can go to your existing providers site, choose Afrihost as your ISP and click on activate
- Step 4:
You may then be directed to Clientzone (https://clientzone.afrihost.com/fibre-activate) if not already activated with the above step.
On the effective cancellation date with your old ISP and the line is released, we will activate the service with the last mile provider. This can take 48hrs on average to reinstate the service.
