New Fibre install - Not Connecting!

0 votes
I am really, really annoyed and frustrated with Afrihost right now.

We decided to migrate from Telkom Adsl to Fibre with Afrihost as our ISP of choice. The initial setup seemed to work fine, then out of the blue we lost connectivity. I tried to contact Afrihost (a mission, because there's no telephonic after hours or weekend support! F*%/! Even Telkom got this part right). Eventually got emailed instructions to reset. Still not working.

I wasted another week liasing with a consultant in Twitter to arrange a time to call (I work during normal hours  so had to ask my brother who is not technologically inclined at all to take the call). Didn't work.

Now I've reset the modem and the message "failed to obtain an IP address from the Dhcp server" comes up.

I'm really, really annoyed and have decided that if this isn't resolved in the next week I'm terminating my relationship with Afrihost and finding a better ISP with good support. It's the lack of support which really makes things worse for me.

Afrihost, you have one more week to retain me as a customer.
