How do you stop the daily promotional messages from MTN if you using Afrihost Mobile

I have been with Vodacom for 16 years and just ported my number to MTN for the Afrihost Mobile offering. So far everything is going well except for the daily promotional messages. I have tried *130*603# which does not work as I am still getting these messages.

This is one of the messages : Y'ello, Double your Bundle. Get 200MB MTN Data FREE, buy 200MB for R29 valid for 7 Day. Dial *142# and select 'DOUBLE DATA' to buy this offer. Ts&Cs apply.

How do I stop this as I NEVER subscribed to this in the first place and it is most annoying.

This solution DOES NOT WORK. Please can you offer another solution.
None of the unsubscribe options seem to work for me. I have tried many. The final word from Afrihost technical support is that they take the payment and the service is provided by MTN. The only option is to go into an MTN store to resolve this as if you on Afrihost, MTN only provides a self service number and there is no option to speak to a consultant.
