To migrate your Telkom service, you can do it online following a few simple steps.
- Log into your Telkom profile
Go to Telkom.co.za and select the Login button in the top right corner to login to your My Telkom profile. If you don’t have a My Telkom profile then choose Register from the Login menu to create one.
- Select Services
Once you are logged in to your Telkom profile, select Manage Accounts and click on the applicable account, then select Cancel. Fill in the required fields. You can select multiple services at once.
- Upload your Documents
Upload supporting documents if required (for example, a copy of your ID document), accept the Terms and Conditions and submit.
You will get a Holding Pool reference number when you submit your request. Please make sure that you save this reference number in order to follow up on the progress with Telkom.
Please note that if you do not receive a reference number from Telkom within 48 hours, it means that the order has not been submitted successfully. You will have to go through the above steps again to re–submit your request.
If you have any ISP services with other service providers, you will need to cancel those services BEFORE you submit your request to cancel your Telkom services. Any Telkom services that are still in their contract phase may incur penalties.
If you wish to have any credit balance refunded to you once you receive your final bill, please log a dispute with Telkom Billing on 10210.
How long will it take?
It can take 30 days or more to move your line into the holding pool. To follow up with the progress, please call Telkom on 10210 (Residences) or 10217 (Businesses). You can also log into the My Telkom online portal to check the progress.
Migrating from another ISP
If you are migrating from an ISP other than Telkom, please send a request to your current Service Provider to move your DSL Line to the OpenServe Holding Pool.
