When can I leave?

+1 vote
I recently signed up. Received my D-Link wifi router. It was faulty so sent back waited ages to get a replacement.

Received replacement router. connected up works perfectly but cannot send or receive emails.

Spoke with Afrihost support cannot help. Now using my old ADSL router with one port configured to WAN.

Email works with this router. I find the support seriously lacking and their whatsapp attempt is useless.

The online chat in never online.

Having more problems with fibre than I ever had with adsl.

How long do I need to stay with Afrihost to pay for the router ( I can't use) before I can cancel and go elsewhere?

I was with Afrihost many years back and I left them because of lack of support. I was with Axxess prior to this with never a problem.

I stupidly signed up with Afrihost for fibre because they were offering a better deal than Axxess.

Good Day,

Any cancellations can be done via ClientZone and must be done before the 15th of the month in order to avoid being billed for the following month, or a 30-day notice period will need to be adhered to and your cancellation will only take effect at the end of the following month.

Should you cancel your Afrihost Fibre less than 6 months from installation, or your account falls into arrears, you will be charged a cancellation fee of R999.
