I'm looking for the same answer because Telkom internet is worse than not working right now, And their technicians have been no help at all. I need an actual internet connection as I am working from home during the lockdown and even basics like git and ssh are not working

Yes, access to the internet is an essential service:

AFRIHOST WILL BE OPERATIONAL DURING THE LOCKDOWN PERIOD AND will TRY TO DELIVER YOUR ORDER AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE.

Delivery via courier remains available, as well as support via Help Centre, WhatsApp, email and phone. However, collections at Afrihost HQ will be unavailable.
