What is the procedure to use your capped ADSL on Vumatel's fibre network, as they need Afrihost to request connectivity?

Afrihost presently handles all our internet business, from web hosting through to ADSL connectivity. We are moving from ADSL to Vumatel fibre and if possible would like to keep everything with Afrihost rather than move all services to a new ISP or use a separate ISP for connectivity only.

To my knowledge, a fibre router will be able to use our Capped accounts as with any normal DSL connection. We are currently running trials with Telkom and MTN fibre, and at present we are using regular capped accounts to test with these clients.

Vumatel's fibre infrastructure is managed by VenturaNext, a Swedish company experienced in managing open access fibre networks. It appears that in their system, subscriber to ISP signup can only be achieved via the Vumatel secure portal. As such, any ISP (e.g. Afrihost) wishing to provide services to this network must first approach Vumatel for representation on their portal.
Subscribers who are not registered with an ISP through Vumatel are always routed to the Vumatel portal upon connection.
Please confirm whether you have run tests with Vumatel.
