I am very sorry to learn that your experience has been less than adequate.
This appears to be a mapping issue.with Afrihost, clients are connected via requesting a DHCP lease from Afrihost's FTTH DHCP servers. The client's router makes the DHCP request, which is passed through their ONT, over the providers' network and into our network where we see the request with the MAC Address of the client's device.
If we have not seen the MAC Address before, we grant it an IP with limited network access to allow the client to navigate to the Fibre Activate Page (https://clientzone.afrihost.com/fibre-activate) to identify themselves. Once the client has identified themselves, we map their device's MAC Address to the username of their Fibre Product. This username then also adds a Class to this user mapping.
