If I cancel my Afrihost SIM card and and would like to get back to afrihost, will I need to order a new SIM card or will I still be able to use the old SIM card?

I think you would need to order a new SIM since this would be regarded as a new subscription. You would also need to go through the same RICA process.

Yes you would need to order another SIM card. When you cancel the Mobile Data package you cancel the SIM card too. The number gets deleted from the system and you would need a new number when you re-register again. You would also need to RICA the new SIM card. Each SIM card you order needs to be RICA'd with its own RICA documents.

Mmm, think I was lucky in this regard.

I had a Afrihost 10Gb + 10Gb package.  When I cancelled (moved to other broadbank option) the package, I didn't know it would remove the SIM from the website.  That being said, after the month has ended and went into the new month, I wanted to go and get a 500mb mobile option on the SIM.  However the SIM was not there. I was a bit annoyed about this and didn't want to order a new SIM with RICA process again.

So I went and signed up for a new package, noted I already had a MTN SIM and I could remember the afrihost SIM number.  Slotted that in and it worked, the SIM got activated and working again.  After it was cancelled.
