A wired connection is usually faster than WiFi. Try connecting your computer to the router with an Ethernet cable and you may notice improvements. If you cannot use ethernet, connect to a WiFi signal, as this is much faster than a standard mobile phone's data connection. Move to the same room as the wireless router. If you are on a network sharing an Internet connection, disconnect all devices from the network while they are not in use. Additional computers and mobile devices can slow down a video stream considerably.

here are some general tips that may help:

  •     Power down your equipment (Hulu Plus device, modem, and router) for approximately one minute and then power back up.
  •     If you are watching a video over a wireless connection, connect your device directly to your router with an ethernet cable.
  •     Disconnect any other devices from your network.
  •     Refer to your router manufacturer for settings and configuration information that can help improve the strength of the network.

You Hulu Pus could be buffering a lot because of the VPN you might be using to access the service. So your 10Mbps link could be fast but the VPN then slows down your conection as it tries to simulate a country with access to the service. You can try use Unotelly. They have South African based DNS nodes in Johannesburg & Capetown. No buffering.
