Afrihost 10Mbps Capped account only gettting 300kbps per second, what's changed?

I've noticed a slowing down of most of Afrihost Internet Services.
I understand the policy of buying a 10Mbps line and in the terms this is not a guarenteed 10Mbps but a best of services.
All my ADSL router stats look good:
ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 10236 kbps 1020 kbps
Line Attenuation 26.5 db 12.5 db
Noise Margin 11.4 db 9.3 db

I usually get around 800-950Kbps per second, but of late (last two weeks) I barely get 300Kbps.

So none of this is making any sense to me. This seems to becoming a common theme amongst my internet piers.

It's a little hard to determine what could be making your line slow without knowing some more key information, like what your line stats are like and also to get an idea of what you are experiencing on your side. One of the best ways to do this is to run our Network Test App. This gives us a lot of useful information on what could be happening.

Otherwise, please drop me an email on so that we can take a look at the tickets you have submitted so we can figure this out with you.
