In order to transfer a domain to Afrihost from another provider, a series of mostly automated negotiations needs to take place. This process needs to take place as follows:
1. Sign up for an appropriate hosting package either on the Afrihost website, or directly through an existing ClientZone account.
2. Inform the current hosting provider of intent to change providers and the coming transfer request.
> It is the sole responsibility of the domain transfer applicant to ensure that the account with the current hosting provider is in good order to avoid delay as a result of declined transfer requests.
3. A transfer request will automatically be sent to the currently registered Registrant email address. (The administrative email address with which the domain has been registered). Confirmation of this email address can be found using the following link. (http://www.whois.com/whois/
4. The recipient of this transfer request is then responsible for accepting the transfer request via the link provided in the automatically generated email.
> Please note, this transfer process can take between 2 and 5 working days, or even longer. This entire process may change depending on the TLD of the domain. Any variances will be communicated to the applicant by Afrihost should it be necessary.
