APN setting not working

I've setup the Afrihost APN and it is selected,  but data is still using airtime instead of the data Bundle on the APN. I have even deleted all other APN settings.

Hi, first you will need an Afrihost or MTN sim card, no other network will work with these settings. Delete all your APN settings and follow these step by step guide for your device: http://www.afrihost.com/landing/mobile/apn/

After you have enetered all the correct information, please restart your device, open your internet browser app and test your APN at http://support.afrihost.com/ip/ on your device itself.

I've got Afrihost Voice on my mtn simcard. APN settings set up correctly according to the guide.
That's the problem: going to http://support.afrihost.com/ip/ shows that I'm not on the afrihost network. At first data took all my airtime, but now (while it still shows I'm not on the afrihost network) the data is taken from the afrihost data and not airtime.
This worked for me. Thanks! I think the important thing here is to restart the device. The support instructions don't mention this.
