Hey David

Congrats on the move and welcome to the forum.

The best package for your depends on what you are looking for specifically.

Are you looking at light net usage (web browsing, emails etc) or are you going to download and stream a lot of content.

What line speed does your line support if you have one already? If not, that will need to be checked. your spending range will also decide along with these considerations.

Getting a better idea of such things will help give you a more informed answer.

Hi David :)

Trust you're ok?

All our packages are the best but you need to choose what is best for YOU.

Uncapped packages differ from speed and shaping policies.

We have Home Uncapped (Semi-throttled) , Premium Uncapped (Semi-shaped) and Business Uncapped (Unshaped and prioritized).

But before you have a look at any uncapped accounts, you will need to get a voice line installed by Telkom - just call them on 10210!

Hope all is well with that answer?

Hi David,

Your best option would be to have Afrihost manage your Telkom account for you - Telkom is useless when it comes to customer service.

If you are the only person that is going to be using the line, for browsing, emailing, Facebook etc. then a 2mbps ADSL line with around 10GB of Cap should be sufficient.

If, however, there will be an additional user in your household and you'll be using/updating your cellphones while surfing/streaming/gaming then you should look at packages like 4mbps with 50GB of cap and up.

It all depends on what you'll be using your line for and how often you'll be using it.

Also, in my honest opinion, uncapped packages aren't worth it, especially now that Afrihost gives you uncapped evening data.

Please give us some more information so that we can better assist you :D
