Sorry that you are having difficulties with your mail setup on Outlook 2010. Please note that you can follow guidelines of
how to setup your mail account below:
--> Open Outlook and select File.
--> Click Add Account.
--> Check Manually configure server settings or additional server types. Click Next.
Once you arrive at the configuration screen you can decide if you require a POP/IMAP account.
POP account stores your emails to your local machine and removes emails from the server after a certain period of time.
IMAP account stores your emails to the server and removes emails from your local machine after a certain period of time.
If you are setting up afrihost.co.za mail address:
Username: firstname.lastname@example.org (e-mail address)
POP3/Incoming Server: dslmail.afrihost.co.za
SMTP/Outgoing Server: smtp.afrihost.co.za
If you are setting a domain mail address:
Username: email@example.com (e-mail address)
POP3/Incoming Server: mail.domain.co.za
SMTP/Outgoing Server: mail.domain.co.za
--> Select More Settings button
--> Select Outgoing Server
--> Please check box that states "Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
--> Select Ok
You will then be able to test account settings, once Login to Incoming server and Sending Test Message Completed
you then now your mail address has been successful setup. Simply click Finish.
After the steps followed it still gives you an error please attempt a password reset on CPanel which can be accessed
through your ClientZone. Login to ClientZone --> Select Hosting --> Select Domain Name --> Select CPanel and Login.
Here you will then select Email accounts and next to each mail account the is a "Change Password" option.
