Why does my Fibre Line Require me to Activate it Each day with my Afrihost user name and Password?

My Fibre line has now for the past three days required me to enter my Afrihost Username and Password. If this is not done, then internet access is suspended. This is not normal as I need a line that is always available.

Hi Tean,

Please will you let us know who is your fibre provider is and we can look in to it for you.
eg: Frog foot,TT Connect, Vumatel, OpenServe or Octatel

Good day

I trust that you are well. When that happens it is usually due to the incorrect physical connection or incorrect mapping of your device.

When activating always make sure that you have ONT>>router>> laptop/cellphone (wifi)

DO NOT go to the Afrihost activation page when connecting a laptop directly to the ONT (unless advised by an Afrihost agent for troubleshooting purposes) this will map your laptop which will, in turn, cause every device connecting to the network to as you to activate because our system will pick up the laptop as a foreign device.

Do contact our support for further troubleshooting on the matter.
